Storage of kite energy

Energy from kite systems will be stored or used immediately or a mix of both.
 What are ways to store energy from kite systems?

Water head, electrochemical batteries, ultracapacitors, flywheels, lifted mass, electrolysis of water for hydrogen storage, springs, heat, compressed air,  etc.
