In 1960 UK's pioneer Tony Prentice at age 13 constructed and jumped an
airframed multi-tether para-glider hang glider. His hang glider
career continues into 2012. The term "paraglider" continues strongly
in patents, engineering, commerce, and sport for gliding kite systems that
have or have not booms in their wings; the driving payload mass is held by
kite lines between the wing set and the resistive set (payload here,
perhaps goods and/or people.) |
