Actually, he is doing two things at once:
1. Burning calories as he gets in shape for step 2.
2. He has been hired to premier Safe Splat™ for hang gliders
where "Whack No More!" is the slogan during the landing planking that will find new safe play in hang gliding.
The Safe Splat™ systems permit safer prone landing without any catch of basebar parts or catch of narrow or even broad gouging wheels.
Additionally in the Safe Splat™ are non-rebound arrestors that limit body position during a safe splatting.
The "planking" guy is practicing various landing spots prior to his use of the Safe Splat (tm) devices being
