KES with tailed turbines or tailed rotors
for flygen or groundgen or both

Use the lifting body with a tail set. The set of tails will have a rotor set with count of one or more on each tail. Have the rotation of the tailed rotors drive either a lofted generator or a ground generator.

The logic of a kite tail for stability of the kite may be emphasized. Scale up the lifting body and scale up the rotating tail set. Employ various rotors in the tail from easy-form drag forms to SpiralAirfoil to high-aspect ratio blades of various materials.    The lifting body may be HTA or LTA.  Tailed rotors may be solid forms or inflated forms.

  • We note that Selsam  US Pat. 6616402, and also Fry and Hise US4084102 concentrated on rotating the tether (perhaps a complex tether) from lifting body to groundgen with multiple rotating devices; they did not focus on tailed turbines or tailed rotors, the focus of this folder.
