Aft of Wing to Main Tether (AoWtMT) |
|
Speculative applications of structures from aft of wing to main tether:
- Active control of wing
- Have a fairlead at the main tether for routing a line from the
AoWtMT structure to a human or machine control station.
- Hammock for humans
- Passive control of wing
- Various sub-structures on AoWtMT might be variably stationed and
sized
- Notice the options for ruddering the wing with AoWtMT. Yaw.
- Urgent depowering of wing with release of main tether from wing near
wing; then the wing flops to depend just on the AoWtMT structure; the
wing will feather in the stream with much less power.
- Passive control for the wing from the AoWtMT. Notes: Main tether
twist excess could wrap the AoWtMT if such is a line or ribbon; care of
set-off is up for consideration; connection by slip-ring might be better
in order to let any torque of the main tether unaffect the AoWtMT
structure.
- Observed that some configurations of the AoWtMT can nicely keep the
angle of a tailing action precisely as wanted; this should be fully
explored, specified, analyzed, photographed. Comparisons.
- Some progress on 26 Jan 2014. Some clue announced:
