This morning's idea:
Force a straight segment to go through a bending. Have the SS ski
vertical leg forced through the angle change of the downtube of the
triangle control frame (TCF). During the bending some non-rebound
energy of splat is being converted to the heat of bending. Choice of
material and specifications for this concept are not decided. This
method wills be challenged to be open to simple reset.
Alternative non-bound legs into the downtube of the TCF is a chapter
open for anyone to develop. Camlock for non-rebound combined with
air-compression or even air-release are open to explore. Also, using
crushables (need replacement of new crushables once used) in the
interior of the downtubes of TCF may be explored.
Just came across this idea in my head (will explore and report
later):
Chinese handcuffs? Have a helmet that stands way off the head, but
has load path stiffed to tail of full-body Chinese handcuffs (thus
body-cuff?) .. As the crunch begins the cuff tightens the body from
the feet-leg on up to hip and torso; head-neck do not get crunched,
but tensed. Need drawing.
Furthering the bodycuff this morning and sharing: Strut over rear
flying cables with a non-breaking slightly bowing
streamlined-sectioned material; these will be taking splat forces
via compression as the bodycuff tail pulls on the rear keel. The
harness may be modified to be a Chinese bodycuff and tied for
arresting to the rear keel. Combined with the frontal non-rebound
ski forms and the off-head helmeting (bump goes to rear of bodycuff
and shoulders and not the neck or skull). Artists?
Rough rendering, options certainly available for development:
