- Rib battens lock so that a curved-edge triangle (to follow
airfoil lines) is set with
the spar. The rib triangle tenses the sail.
- Sail wraps around the spar and closes double-surfaced at
trailing edge; sail is tensed by the rib-battens based at the spar with the
upper rib batten set on the top of the spar, and the lower rib batten is set
to the bottom of the spar. Upon inflation of the spar's bladder,
the spar case tenses and gives good base to the rib-batten triangle.
Loss of designed air
pressure in the spar degrades the airfoil quickly. Perhaps the
two-bladder solution with long flat spar squeezed by the cased two bladders
will give firmer base to the two rib-batten units
