Hang Loose Presents the introduction opening scene of Carl Boenish's Playground in the Sky This film was the first definitive feature length sports documentary of hang gliding, and also included assorted skydive sequences also. The film was compiled and produced in 1977 by Carl Boenish, the world's foremost aerial skydive stunt camera photographer. Carl Boenish was very active in hang gliding throughout the early development years and was the originator of the term "BASE JUMPING". Playground in the Sky is very difficult to find; a few "PAL" version VHS tapes are available in Europe, however PAL format does not play on VHS players in the USA. Anyone with a complete US version of Playground in the Sky < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxXxkOxYvhw > could take measures to have the tape archived on DVD. LIFT editor staff - |
