  • Consider all the improperly tossed paper and foam drinking cups that are out in the environment. Such cups could have a high life as stabilizing kite tail elements.    
  • Consider having rings and textile skin to the frusto-conical elements.  Open bottoms or closed bottoms or special meshed bottoms. 
  • Consider swivel and specially modified frusto-conical elements that spin. 
  • Consider exploring going asymmetrical contrary to the directions of Hufstader. 
  • Consider exploring closed-bottom cups and the holding of water; have triggers to dump the water for play, fire-fighting, cooling, watering plants. 
  • Consider thickening arrays of open-bottom cups (bottom removed) where several strands increase in layers from 1 to 3 to next layer to more than three, etc. 
  • Consider having a nested set of cups that could aloft be let out to show more or less cup parts as desired under a control of a centered pull string that lifts the most bottom cup up against its higher neighbor; or some other control device for similar effect. 
  • Notice that the elements of such tail may be of different colors in the chain.
  • For celebration, each tail element may be signed by a pupil or member of a party. Or decorated elements by members of a party. 
  • By slip ringing or chained swiveling, tail elements might be made to rotate in opposite direction to its stacked neighbor.

Power is mechanically transmitted from a tethered airship carrying wind turbines to electrical generators on the ground at the anchor point of the tether, by the use of endless power-transmission cables bridging between drive sheaves at the turbine wheels and driven sheaves at the generators. Tether adjustments, cable tensioning, and wind direction changes are provided for the ground apparatus. A tubular aircraft with recess in the tube wall, carrying bearings on which the rims of the turbine wheels ride, is also claimed.
