Using AWECS for advertising
Use kite systems for advertising        Open for discussion and advance:
  • advertising    Kite advertising.     AWECS advertising.
Advertising in the AWE world has many sectors and aspects.

  • Planning and practice to assure safe operations. Know the winds and forecast. What boundary layer turbulence will be expected? Will assistance be needed?

  • The very shape of a wing may express message itself that could forward an entity's purposes.  Novel shape does its own messaging. Cultural iconic kite shapes give a message.

  • The symbols or text on a lifted wing could forward someone's aims.

  • Shape and message on tether hazard warning flags/socks could hold advertising.

  • The ground station of an AWECS could hold advertising messages.

  • Stakeholders in AWE community may advertising their services and products in EnergyKiteSystems.net for a reasonable fee.

  • Kites may be used as they have been for centuries to carry messages seen in the sky as well as drop leaflets. Some dropped leaflets may be in good aspect ratio  rectangular format to give significant rotary Savonius flight for visual impact and spread effect.

  • Advertising in AWECS may be self-serving or serving of the needs of third parties.

  • The "look" of an advertising session has its impact.

  • Sell  or give advertising space.
  • Sell or donate advertising time.
  • Sell or donate adverting actions
  • Types of actions:
    • Let the mooring travel along the ground or waterways.  Bicycle towing in calms? Walking?
    •
  • Flashing LEDs driven by onboard generator driven by turbine?
  • Images or text projected onto the surfaces of the kite?     Rainer Mugrauer instructs: SeeThis.
  • Dynamically lit tether?
  •

  • The invisible lifter as a boardwalk gimmick for advertising. The tether goes straight up, but people cannot see any working kite. the tether is a dropline from a main kite tether. The verticality misdirects the searching eye. The working kite is high and downwind out of sight. The demonstration line may even be slanted misdirectingly off vertical and windward; the view will follow the line up and will see nothing, if one select mooring point and tether line carefully.
  • Music and sounds? Voice messaging?  A kite may radiate sounds immediately made by the kite. Or recorded sounds may be played from the lofted position of the wing or some point along the tether.  Or voice messaging may be set at the mooring where visitors might be looking up while getting the voice message.
  • Live dynamic video.      Let visitors to the mooring see themselves from a tether-mounted video cam sending signals wirelessly or by wire to a view screen at the mooring.  More advanced: Display live video on a lifted screen; people look up at the screen and see themselves from the aerial view.
  • Let a tether hold a camera that takes photographs of people as they hold the tether; they look up at the camera and press the button that takes the photograph. Have printer at the site and print image. Or send the image to their cellular phone or e-mail.  Give them your business card.  The kite system is used to advertise your business through the business card as you give a free gift to the visitors.
