June 16, 2020, post by Dave Santos Maxwell Lattices and Kite Multi-lines and Bridles Kites are eminently mathematical. We no longer struggle to derive "new" kite math from pure observation, having gradually learned to identify all sorts of applicable established math beyond basic equations-of-motion. Most Power-Kites have multi-lines and complex bridling, which can be generalized as Maxwell Lattices with topological mechanics of stiff and floppy modes. Xiaoming Mao's fine introduction to topological Maxwell Lattices will be easily understood to apply to kite bridling and kite lattice dynamics by those directly knowledgeable of kites.
