5, 2020, post by Dave Santos Feynman Diagrams are effective Kite Diagrams It seemed too good to be true in 2006, when I started studying kite energy, that Feynman Diagrams looked so much like kite diagrams. Its become obvious that they are annotated force maps that inherently apply to kite rigging, as phonon maps. Note the common tri-junction nodes. Video is 52 minutes: An introduction to: Feynman Diagrams This leads us to formalizing Kite Diagrams. Conventions of technical drawing apply, plus kiteyness. An ideal kite diagram conveys topology and geometry schematically, varying proportions to fit the page. A few standard symbols suffice for line, wings, anchors, gens, and so on. Annotations give numbers and details. A good kite diagram conforms to the "laws of kites" and can be rigged and flown as shown. The language could be elaborated for kite types, line types, anchor types, and so on. 3D drafting is a branch, but most diagrams can be like knot-and-braid diagram convention, with crossings shown by a continuous closer line over a gap in a farther line. A simple symbol set in a graphical editor would enable anyone to make clear presentable kite diagrams. Correct diagrams are topological graphs that can be computed to explore configuration parameter spaces. AWE R&D is essentially a search through vast design spaces. Countless complex rigging possibilities will become more accessible by advanced Kite Diagrams. Symbol Set Wishlist
