Stance- Arms loose, body stepping smoothly forward and back, no splayed arm-waving.
Consistent Standard Kite Stowage- Any Kiter should be able to duplicate any other's packing-unpacking.
Train both Two-Line and Four-Line, Handles and Bars, several kite sizes.
Train with Single Line Kites. Fly every kind of kite you can, incl. Arches and Trains. "All kite flying is good".
Watch and Feel Wind- Launch when wind decides. Learn to "see" wind turbulence by kite.
Fly in All Conditions (kite-tow or boomerang-throw in dead air).
Fly by Feel (eyes closed).
Fly by Kite Shadow (hat brim).
Fly by Line Angle (hat brim).
Keep Track of Loop Direction and Number to Reverse Line Twist-
Explore the Kite Window (never ends).
Practice Eights-
Practice Turns (Loops, Eights)-
Practice Consistent Landings and Relaunchings.
Practice Stopped and Reverse Flight anywhere in Window.
Quiver Fly-
Practice Pumping Flight-
Practice Recovery from any upset. Anticipate and avoid upset.
Practice Total Command and Safety during "impossible" moves.
Observe Topological Aspects- Braids, Knots, Manifolds.
Observe Spring-Mass Effects.
Learn and Master Tricks.
Practice Mobile Power Kiting- Surf Boards, Skate Boards, Skis, Buggies, Kite Boats. etc..
Build up Flight Hours to Mastery.
Consult often with other kiters. Join AKA. Attend Kite Festivals
