October 29, 2019               Dave Santos First in Academic AWE Research? It is sometimes supposed Wubbo Ockels first established academic AWE studies. Perhaps Pocock raised the subject with his students almost 200 years ago. Maybe Oberth had some academic context to his AWE work. What is certain is that Jitrenda Singh Goela, at WPI, was a real pioneer in 1979 in bringing AWE into current academia, and WPI remains the player with the longest active research- ???:    J. S. Goela
